Registration

All the students and members of the university staff may use the services provided by the University and National Library, that require registration, free of charge. To register you need a University card (UniPass/DEKa), which can be collected at the Education Office.

Registration terms:

eduID/password
legal relation with the University
valid University card (UniPass/DEKa)

For other users the following terms and conditions apply for registration:

filled in registration form
identity card/driving-licence issued on or after 1st January 2001, address card; for non-Hungarian citizens: passport or residence permit
student ID for students
guarantee form for secondary school pupils

The green library card is valid with a photo ID.

Loan privileges are suspended until the fines are paid and the books are returned.

Library cards are valid in every library unit of the University of Debrecen (Böszörményi Campus Library, Kenézy Life Sciences Library, Library of The Conservatory, Engineering Library, Arts and Sciences Library, Library of the Faculty of Education, Kassai Campus Library).

Responsibilities of the reader

Library patrons are responsible for all materials checked out on their library cards.
Do not give your library card to others to prevent unauthorized use.
Illegal removal of a library document will result in filing a report about the case

UD students, UD faculty and staff, teachers (for 1 academic year, circulation and use of computers)	free
Librarians, employees in museums and archives, the disabled, people under 16 and people over 70.	free
University students or secondary school students with a valid student card as well as teachers and pensioners (for 1 semester / 1 academic year, circulation and use of computers)	1.200 HUF / 2.000 HUF
For any other readers (for 6 month / 1 year, circulation and use of computers)	2.400 HUF / 4.000 HUF
Reading Room Card*
University students or secondary school students with a valid student card as well as teachers and pensioners (for 1 academic year, internet and in-library use)	500 HUF
For any other readers (for 1 year, inernet and in-library use)	1.000 HUF
Daily ticket (internet and in-library use for 1 day)	500 HUF
